Recursive is an underground music collective in Washington D.C. focusing on bringing underground techno, UK bass, and left field electronica artists to the area. The venue is split between two levels, hosting the techno artists downstairs [dark, broody environment], and the UK bass artists upstairs [bright, punchy, light hearted by comparison]. These juxtaposed environments and musical genres intend to bring balance and harmony to the space.

Recursive brings the same themes forward with a fresh perspective for their second party. However, this time the techno artists downstairs bring more of an experimental, polyrhythmic, and earthy edge in their sound; a perfect note to end the summer with.

A party series in the DIY dance music scene in Minneapolis, MN bringing sound to the city through a global lens. For this edition, the promoter brought in French artists, Siu Mata & Amor Satyr, who regularly collaborate to produce Speed Dembow albums.

Recursive's winter edition merges moods more closely to honor the season. While still showcasing techno downstairs, and UK dance music upstairs; the artists conjunctively bring a heads down, contemplative sonic experience. Djoser and Kouhai bring a crystalline, dub-washed, hypnotic UK Bass experience to the floor.

We Build Machines is a Minneapolis-based record label and event series showcasing industrial, IDM, and cinematic electronic music. The ethos behind WBM is dystopic, demonstrating not only the relationship we have with technology, but how the lines blur between us and the machines we use to accomplish our own creations.
